Painting Ghost Flames

  1. Draw the flames on the outside of the body with a thin black non-permanent marker.

  2. Loosely apply mask to the inside of the body over the flames, trace the flames onto the vinyl mask, then remove it from the body and apply it back onto it's backing.

  3. Use a hobby knife to cut out the flames, then re-apply the mask to the inside of the body and mask off the windows.

  4. Apply 2 light coats of the main body color, then remove the flame mask but leave the window mask on.

  5. Apply 1 light coat of the flame color, just mist it enough to take away from the main color a little.

  6. Apply 2 coats of the main body color, back it with 1 coat of silver, then remove the window mask.

  7. Let it dry for an hour or blow dry it on low for about 10 to 15 minutes before trimming and mounting.

As you can see... with a little practice and some imagination, you can get a very good looking paint job and not die trying!
